Composer and Arranger Judith Kay

I DIG MUSIC / BMI

Judith Kay is an active composer and arranger for some twenty years. A former arranging student of Manny Albam, her jazz writings are noted for being both swinging and catchy for the listener, while simultaneously providing complex and interesting challenges for the musician players. She arranged all of the music for her group Judith Kay's ChamberJazz™ Ensemble, which performed extensively for thirteen years. She wrote and arranged all of the music on her CD Sounds Like Brazil.

Philadelphia area High School/College choral directors - take note! Because of the dearth of good jazzy material available for this age group, Judith is currently writing a series of new choral works aimed for high school and college. To arrange an artist residency/commission with her, or to find out about purchasing music, please contact Judith Kay.
